About Emily Smith

Emily Smith has practiced probate law exclusively since 2016. Emily takes pride in assisting her clients in understanding and meeting the complex requirements of the Texas probate system.

A fifth generation Texan, Emily was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She earned her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she focused her attention on probate and family law. Emily is a licensed attorney in both Texas and California.

Emily began her career practicing family law in California and overseas while her husband served as a US Navy Nuclear Submarine Officer. She later moved back home to Dallas to start a family and shift her focus to probate law. Emily is a mother of three.

Emily has spent years practicing Texas probate and only Texas probate, bringing to her clients a wealth of legal knowledge as well as valuable insight into the local rules and procedures of the different North Texas probate courts.
